Did you know that the 2024 Solar Eclipse will cross New Brunswick on April 8 in the afternoon?
The best place to observe it in the Chaleur region will be in Allardville and in Papineau First Nation when the eclipse will be total there for a few seconds. The rest of the region will be able to observe a partial eclipse.
What is a solar eclipse? This is when the moon completely covers the sun! It's important not to look at this phenomenon directly with your eyes. It's recommended to wear special glasses or use protective lenses for telescopes or other similar devices.
